PTA Mission
The overall purpose of PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
PTA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education. Membership in PTA is open to anyone who wants to be involved and make a difference for the education, health, and welfare of children and youth.

Meet Our Team
Tyler Joined PTA to be more involved with the school and the community. He is a husband and father to one. His daughter is a first grader and he is excited to be part of the first class of students to experience all grades at DMS. Tyler grew up all over the US splitting most of his time between Colorado and Ohio. He currently works as an Analyst but has years of experience in the mortgage and fintech industries as well. Between work and free time, he assists with his daughters dance studio, volunteering in events where they perform as well as volunteering for work with the city. He spends his free time gaming, building models and reading.
Jessica joined the PTA to be able to work more closely with the school community. She is a wife and mom to two boys. She has a 5th grader at DMS and an 11th grader. Jessica grew up in a military family and spent much of her childhood living in Europe. Her family settled on the East Coast and she moved to Colorado in 2003 to be with her now husband. She has worked in pediatric healthcare for 20 years in a variety of roles, including Medical Assisting, managing a medical office and most recently, in quality and compliance. Jessica also serves on the Executive Committee of Challenge Air for Kids as a volunteer coordinator and fundraising coordinator. In her free time, Jessica likes to read and her family loves to camp and boat and be with family and friends.
Danielle joined PTA to get involved with the school community. She is a wife and mom to four girls in grades 5th, 4th, 1st and Pre-K. Danielle was born and raised in Colorado and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science and obtained her elementary teaching license. While staying at home full time to raise her kids, she runs a Girl Scout troop, and facilitates parenting classes while serving on the Discovery PTA Board as Secretary for a second year. In her free time she loves to read, craft, organize, and dreams of watching a whole movie before falling asleep!
Stephanie is a Human Resources and Accounting professional with over 24 years of experience and exposure to a wide array of industry best practices and procedures. Stephanie brings expertise in accounting principles, compliance, HR strategies, training, and policies and procedures. Stephanie is the Director of Volunteer Services for a large hospital. She is passionate about education and facilitates a high school student internship program that provides a work-based learning experience for students in a healthcare setting. She is the committee chair of a Health Science Technical Committee and on a school Board of Directors. She earned her Master's in Human Resources Management from Colorado State University. Stephanie has lived in Colorado since 1986, she enjoys exploring the Colorado outdoors with her family. Stephanie has an energetic 4th grader and an artsy 7th grader at Discovery Magnet School.
